ABOUT THE KWEENS
About the Birth Kweens Podcast
Being pregnant can make your head spin with questions of where and how to give birth not to mention what the heck to do once you have a baby. Sifting through all the options, opinions, anecdotal evidence and horror stories from friends, family and the internet can be overwhelming but worse the information can be inaccurate and incomplete.
Karly Nuttall and Ali Feroah created the Birth Kweens Podcast when they saw the need for more women to have access to seasoned expert opinions on pregnancy, birth, postpartum and womenâs health. Our goal is to use our years of experience in natural womenâs health and maternity care to inform women about their options with a funny, lighthearted approach.
We work with companies who can fill a need for our naturally inclined and loyal listeners.
Karly, Midwife & Hormone Specialist

With over 700 babies delivered and nearly two decades of clinical experience as both a licensed midwife and hormone specialist, Karly was first introduced to the birth world when her mom gave birth to her two younger brothers at home.
At age 19 she pursued her dream of becoming a birth worker and attended the Midwives College of Utah in 1999 where she became a Certified Professional Midwife. Since then she has interned at a busy birth center in El Paso, TX, became a Licensed Midwife in California, gained a lot of experience working at a birth center in San Diego, started her own practice, volunteered delivering babies in Senegal, West Africa, and acquired certifications as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and Vaginal Steam Practitioner.
In 2017 Karly joined a mastermind that she continues with today that gave her the confidence, support and knowledge to launch the Birth Kweens podcast with friend and co-host Ali Feroah. The marketing and technical knowledge she gained from that community has largely contributed to the success and rapidly expanding popularity of the podcast.
Ali, Doula & Photographer

Ali Feroah is a doula, photographer, and co-host of the new informative and funny birth and womenâs health podcast, Birth Kweens.
A Nevada transplant to San Diego, Feroah got her start in the birth world fresh off of graduation from the University of San Diego in 2011. After a viewing of the educational documentary âThe Business of Being Bornâ piqued her interest, the health and lifestyle coach sought out a career in birth work. Ali began as a volunteer doula in 2013 at Best Start Birth Center, Californiaâs first licensed and nationally accredited birth center. As both the Volunteer Doula Program Coordinator at Best Start and sole practitioner at her own business, Setting Roots Birth Services, Ali subscribes to an individualized and supportive model of care for her clients.
Offering doula services in hospital, home, and birth center settings, Ali also provides birth photography, rebozo, and belly binding, as well as breastfeeding and postpartum support.
